Roy's Postcards: 1987/02/04

Inscription:

The Exploreres hiked to the Observatory from Flindell tonight and then back to a cookout. We had a nice hike under a bright moon - and lots of stars on a clear night.

Postcard front:

The City of Hollywood is noted to its many beautiful houses, fine paved streets and pleasant drives.

Postcard back:

City of Hollywood Poster 1909.
Holywood boasted of its frostless belt, many paved streets and no saloons. (The sub-divider - Harvey Wilcox was a prohibitionist). This was two years before its first movie company, the Nestor Film Company had settled in Hollybood.
