The Exploreres hiked to the Observatory from Flindell tonight and then back to a cookout. We had a nice hike under a bright moon - and lots of stars on a clear night.

The City of Hollywood is noted to its many beautiful houses, fine paved streets and pleasant drives.

City of Hollywood Poster 1909.
Holywood boasted of its frostless belt, many paved streets and no saloons. (The sub-divider - Harvey Wilcox was a prohibitionist). This was two years before its first movie company, the Nestor Film Company had settled in Hollybood.
