Dear Susie,
This is a wonderful postcard that you picked out. Maybe someday we can make a sand castle like these! Happy National Postcard Week. Love, Daddy.

Postcard front:

Southern California - Sand Castles

Postcard back:

SAND CASTLES
Nowadays people go to the beach for all sorts of reasons, but the chief reason nowadays is fun. Some battle the waves, while others come to look or be looked at. The beach remains a tiny piece of the world where one can get away from it all and commune with nature. Photo by James Blank.

Leonard's comments:

Sand castles are not very likely at this point in my dad's life, I'm afraid.
