Roy's Postcards: 1981/11/02
Inscription:
I spent my days in downtown San Francisco at the DPMA Conference at the Civic Center. Each day, I transfered from the bus to underground railroad here at Powell and market going between S.P. Railway station and the Civic Auditorium.
Postcard back:
POWELL AND MARKET STREET. Everybody's favorite intersection. This entire complex has been recently remodeled for the forward look of this modern age. The cable car is the new number 1 car on the line. Built and put into service in 1973, the Cable Car Centenial Year.
Leonard's comments:
It's still like that, kind of.
