Roy's Postcards: 1983/04/15

Frances, Rachel and I went to REI for their sale and then went on down to Ports O'Call where we enjoyed a lovely meal at Picollo's.

And visited many of the shops and bought some sea shell shaped gumdrops for Leonard and Susanna.

Postcard front:

Postcard back:

Aerial view of world famous PORTS O' CALL VILLAGE, San Pedro, with the commercial fishing boat harbor at left and San Pedro in tehe background. Ports O' Call is on the Los Angeles Harbor channel where you may view ocean liners, sail boats, etc. going and coming 24 hours a day.

Leonard's comments:

They always have a big St. Patrick's Day celebration down at Ports O'Call.

Sounds like a fun time. I wonder if the 'gumdrops' were what we would call gummies today? A seashell-shaped gumdrop seems kinda weird.
