Leonard, Susanna, Rachel, Frances and I went down to 6th Street Photography and had a portrait taken for Frances' Redbook article to be published in the August issue. She also had a co-by-line story in the New Era that came today, on the LDS Scout Encampent last Labor Day at Camp Pendleton. Leonard and I then went to Thrifty's and bough Frances so[me] Chanel No. 5 for her birthday tomorrow since I will be camping w/the Varsity Scouts.

Leonard's comments:

I don't know what the Redbook article was about. My mother had several articles published there. I know one was about gingerbread houses, but it was published several years later.
