Roy's Postcards: 1983/06/07
Inscription:
I walked down to the Mississippi River from my hotel this morning and saw this board as well as others going by on the river. Then I browsed by antique, junk and trinket shops on Royal Street in the French Quarter.
Postcard back:
THE STEAMBOAR "Natchez"
An authentic 285 foot sternwheeler. Daily river cruises. Home Port: New Orleans, La.Photo by R. Michael Ricouard
Leonard's comments:
The front and back are clearly mismatched, but I wouldn't be surprised if the front was New Orleans as well. The New Orleans Steamboat Company still exists and still has the phone number listed on the postcard.
