Roy's Postcards: 1984/03/20

Rob Ogden and I drove up to Griffith Park in his new VW Scirocco and hiked about 2 miles, from the main road at the summit, along a bridle trail to a water tank, then up the side of a mountain, then crossing over the the HOLLYWOO sign. We touched each of the letters and having had a snack; returned via a paved road to the crest and then followed a trail over a high peak along the crest - returning to the car. It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous view.
Postcard back:
A MULTI-PANED WINDOW of exciting Hollywood, the Nation's Entertainment Capital.

I probably don't need to say this, but it's not all that exciting.
