Roy's Postcards: 1984/06/11

We drove home from Glendale, Utah today leaving at 6:30 am and arriving home at 3:30 pm (10 hours). It was a nice uneventful trip. The Virgin River Gorge was nice in the morning sun.

The Virgin River Gorge, Interstate 15, Utah-Arizona
Scenic Interstate 15 between St. George, Utah and Mesquite, Nevada is the most costly built section of interstate highway in the Nation. The highway crosses the Virgin River several times in the narrow beautiful gorge.

Leonard's comments:

"How best to capture the bleak beauty of this area? Better wait for a big-rig to come down the road."
