Roy's Postcards: 1985/10/26
Inscription:
Today I finally got to Kauai - and enjoyed an entertaining trip up the Wailua River to the amazing and spectacular Fern Grotto. It was very pretty.
Postcard back:
ISLAND OF KAUAI
The Fern Grotto is one of the reasons Kauai is named the Garden Island. Located along side of Wailua River, the Fern Grotto is visited by many vacationers.
Leonard's comments:
Wow, it's like the Carboniferous age never ended! I guess it's possible my did didn't really visit the Fern Grotto, since everything he says in the inscription he could have gotten directly from this postcard.
