Frances, Leonard and I went to the big Island and went volcano-hunting. We found Kilauea and drove around and through it. Although it was not active, we saw lots of steam vents.

This is an aerial view of Kilauea Volcano erupting at Puu Kamoamoa. Volcanic activity commenced January 3, 1983 and continued through twenty-three phases before the lava flows halted April 9, 1983.
