The Me Software Map

[Note: I no longer use this program, having switched back to a web page, but I leave it up in case anyone else is interested.]

Use case

You write a lot of software. You write a lot of different pieces of software. You try to do the right thing and keep a Web page with information about all your projects, but it's a pain to mantain. As your burden grows, you cast about for a solution. Enter the Me Software Map, the simple Python CGI that makes your ugly list of projects look nice.

Configuration

I'm too lazy to document the file format at the moment, but with your download you get the configuration file to my software map, which exercises all the functionality of MSM. Just change it to have your projects and groups instead of mine.

TODO

• You need at least one package group, which doesn't make sense for small software maps.
• Other (optional) attributes of a package: dependencies, platform, etc. How to know which to display? (all those used in a package?)
