Roy's Postcards: 1983/06/27

Inscription:

We left L.A. this morning at 11:00 am and had a fairly decent trip through the desert - Barstow, Needles, Kingman to Flagstaff where we are reposing for the night. I will pick up Frances' bro. Leonard at Cortez airport tomorrow and go on to Rico for the remainder of the week. We had quite hot weather. The truck seems to be functioning well.

Postcard back:

YUCCA, OR SPANISH BAYONET
Spanish Bayonet, or Desert Yucca, is one of the many unusual and beautiful specimens of desert vegetation.

Leonard's comments:

The truck is just about to break down and cause huge problems.
