Roy's Postcards: 1983/07/02

Inscription:

I feel like I have walked a hundred miles today in Cortez. I had my truck towed from Rico yesterday to the Chevrolet dealer's service dept. - 54 miles.

I have spent 12 hours today at the dealer's working with the mechanic putting in a new engine - for $1794.00 parts and labor. 3 weeks and 1107 miles after we bought it. Fortunately M.A.P. authorized me to put it on the American Express. I don't know how I'm going to pay for it. It is really beautiful here - blue skies - mountains - just like this postcard.

Leonard's comments:

My dad doesn't generally show strong emotion in his postcards, and he backs away from it here, but you can really feel his frustration.
