SUN TEMPLE
MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK, COLORADO
Situated on a promontory between Cliff and Fewkes Canyons, Sun Temple looks down on Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde's largest Cliff Dwelling (background). Built during the great drought of 1272-1298, apparently Sun Temple was never finished.Color photo by Roger Hall.
